I love fish of all sizes, shape and varieties and I hope to spread that affection for our finned friends. I have always encouraged catch and release for trophy fish and have a theory that if we play the fish quickly on appropriately sized gear, leave the fish in the net and take a photo while kissing that fish and then release it, they’ll bite again again for the next lucky angler. Maye they’ll say “Hey, that wasn’t so bad, I got a good workout and a glimpse of what’s topside with a bonus kiss and my photo taken!” Either way trophy fish can take upwards of 20 years to grow and should be treated with care so there’s nothing wrong with kissing a fish. Here’s a gallery of people in my boat kissing fish from this summer and summers past.
