Half day trip with Eli.
We did a half day trip with King of the River with Eli. We had a great time. Eli worked hard to put us on the fish, but unfortunately the Reds were just not in the river. We also tried for Kings, which were catch and release but no luck there either. Nevertheless, we had a great time and would book with King of the River again.

Federal Way, WA

Captain Eli made me feel like I was at home fishing with a buddy. He was very informative and realistic with expectations for the day I fished. Kings fishing was a bit slow and reds were the same. We switched over to fly fishing for trout and that kept me entertained catching a few rainbow and bull trout. Still a great day on the water and I'll definitely be back to fish with him.

Meridian, ID

Every trip is an adventure; you never know what you will catch that day and the view from the office is unbeatable.

Eli Hill is an avid outdoorsman and nature enthusiast; he has been fishing in Northern Minnesota for over 20 years. Eli first attended college in Ely, MN where he met some lifelong friends and endured many wilderness adventures. He spent two summers guiding for trout and salmon at a fly-in lodge in Alaska; this is where he really honed his fishing skills and learned about providing a safe and enjoyable outdoor experience. He has now been guiding trips into the boundary waters with the Ely Guide Service since 2003.
